Dear Elaine and Family.; I am sure you don't remember me, but I was one of your students in St. Rose when you met Mr. Cunningham. We all thought it was so great that the two of you were together. I think you got married after we graduated ( 1969). I was with another classmate the other day when we were talking about Mr. Cunningham and you, Elaine, when she told me the sad news. We are all so impressionable in our teens, and I liked you and Kevin the best because you were both lighthearted and, honestly, fun. Your classes were interesting ( I continued studying comparative religion in college) and with your histories, you were more reasonable, approachable, human. I am very sorry for our loss.
