Obituary of Vincent Kenneth Holdman

Vincent K. Holdman, 77, of Manalapan, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Brooklyn, he had resided in Manalapan for the past 14 years. He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan and a former member of the Staten Island Knights of Columbus. Vinny was a firefighter for the NY Fire Department for many years before retiring. He was an avid sports enthusiast. He was predeceased by three siblings, Nancy Davis, Judy Lyons and Dennis Holdman. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen; three children, Linda Kennedy, Terri King and Robert Holdman; five siblings, Elaine, George and Arthur Holdman and Mary Artese; and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 PM and Sunday, Nov. 1, from 2 to 6 PM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan, followed by interment at St. Catharine's Cemetery, Sea Girt.
