Obituary of Walter Steven Nash

Walter Stephen Nash, 63, of Manalapan, entered eternal life on October 17, 2015. Steve, as he was referred to by his family and friends, was born in California and then raised in New York City. He graduated from the University of Houston in 1974 with a degree in Business Administration-Accounting. Steve was employed with The Bartell Drug Company in Seattle, WA for 28 years as AVP Finance/Controller. He then stayed on for an additional two years doing consultant work for the company. Steve and his wife, Debbie then decided to move New Jersey to be closer to family where they resided at the Village Grande, Manalapan where Steve was active in the community serving as president of the home owners association in addition to other various positions on the board. Steve then took employment with the Yardville Supply Company, an $18 million multiple location retailer as Chief Financial Officer/Controller.
Steve was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Ethel, both lifetime ministers. Steve is survived by his wife of 15 years, Debbie; his two sons, Stephen and Gregory; two sisters, Terry White and Barbara Huff; and two grandchildren, Madeline and James.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 21, from 3 to 6 pm with a funeral service at 5 pm, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.
